WHAT WE MAKE · DOCUMENTARY SERIES
ONE STORY AT A TIME, UNTIL IT ADDS UP.
A documentary series is a set of short films, three to twelve episodes, built around one idea and the real people who live it. Each episode stands on its own; together they say something no single film can. We develop the arc, find the people, shoot across locations and seasons, and deliver a series a company can release over months, not days. Made By Us, our series for Kraft Heinz, follows the farmers and plant workers behind the food. The Purveyors, our own original, follows the people supplying some of the country's best kitchens.
WHO IT'S FOR
For companies with more than one story.
A series fits companies whose work spans places and people: a supply chain, a workforce, a region, a craft. It rewards the brands that would rather build trust over a year than rent attention for a week. It also gives a communications team a calendar: one production, a season of releases.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
01 Development
The idea, the arc, the episode list and the people, worked out before a camera is booked.
02 Multi-location production
Farms, plants, depots, kitchens, across states and into Mexico, scheduled around the work.
03 Episode edit, color, sound and mix
One voice from the first episode to the last.
04 Trailers, cutdowns, stills and a release plan
So the series lives on every channel for the whole season.
05 Original work
We develop our own series too, and bring that eye to yours.
QUESTIONS
Things people ask us.
It depends on episodes and locations. Series are usually shot in waves and delivered on a schedule, so the first episodes release while the later ones are still in production.
Both. We arrive with a point of view and a structure, then let the people change it. The series is written in the edit from what was true on the day.
For work we make for you, you own the deliverables. Our originals are ours. Either way, releases, music and footage rights are cleared for every channel in the plan.
