The Faces of Energy

A four-part documentary series that answers a question Constellation's own customers asked: who, exactly, is running the power near me?

THE STORY

Constellation's research turned up something specific. When people thought about the plants generating their power, they didn't just want them run well — they wanted them run by certain kinds of people. Someone who advocates for clean energy and believes in it. Someone who genuinely cares about the environment. A veteran. An academic, sharp and serious about the work. Four qualities customers hoped were behind their power. So we built the series around a simple, reassuring truth: those people aren't hypothetical. They're already there. We found four Constellation employees, each one the living embodiment of a quality customers said mattered — and let the people customers were hoping for introduce themselves.

THE APPROACH

This started with market research and became a documentary structure — that's the part we're proudest of. Rather than illustrate four abstract "values," we cast from real life: a Navy veteran who ran nuclear reactors on submarines before bringing that discipline to Constellation. An advocate who goes into the community to make the case for nuclear as zero-carbon energy. An environmentalist who grew up in the mountains and takes the stewardship personally. A valedictorian whose mind is exactly the kind you'd want on the job. One employee per tenet, one film each. We developed the concept, then handled production and post end to end — every story shot and cut to feel like a person you'd trust, because that was the entire point.

THE IMPACT

For an industry where public trust is everything, and nuclear especially, this is a rare kind of reassurance: not a company claiming it hires good people, but four of those people, on camera, being exactly who customers hoped for. It turns market research into something you can feel. The strongest answer to "who's running my power?" isn't a statistic. It's a face, a name, and a reason to trust them.
