A recruiting documentary series about the people who got a real chance at Exelon — and turned it into a door held open for everyone behind them.
THE STORY
Opportunity is easy to talk about and hard to prove. Exelon didn't want to talk about it. They wanted to introduce the people who lived it — employees who were given a shot at a moment other companies might not have offered one, and who built whole careers, and legacies, out of it. Dana Small, often the only woman in the room, who made the room bigger for every woman after her. Bill Kelbaugh, thirty-six years into storm response, now working alongside a son who followed him into it. Rotica Lewis, who took a job that met her where she was and became the representation her Baltimore community needed to see. Three people, one truth: a real chance, in the right hands, doesn't stop with the person who gets it.
THE APPROACH
A recruiting film usually sells the company. We flipped it — let the people sell the truth of the place by telling their own stories, and the company speaks for itself. We developed the series and shot each employee where their work and their life actually happen, from Delmarva Power to PECO. No corporate script, no HR talking points — just people who mean what they say, given the room to say it. We handled it end to end: concept and creative strategy through production, editing, sound, color, and delivery. The goal wasn't to make Exelon look good. It was to make a future employee see themselves in someone already there.
THE IMPACT
The best recruiting message isn't a pitch — it's a person you believe. These films work because Dana, Bill, and Rotica aren't performing; they're telling the truth about a place that gave them a foothold and got out of their way. That's a promise no ad campaign can make and no competitor can copy: proof, in three real voices, that the opportunity is real because the people are.
